This a project I’m currently working on which should commence construction by next year 2018. It’s a simple standard 3 storey block of flats with car parking on the ground level. And what was originally intended to be a cantilevered infinity pool on the 2nd floor.
We decided to go with a raw industrial type look. Cos that look is in trend *cough cough* low budget nowadays!
We had to do away with the cantilever idea and have it sit on standard columns in the end. The glass infinity effect was omitted too due to public sensitivities of seeing people swimming in skimpy suits. Some people thought that would be offensive. So we ended up with something opaque in the end.
Client liked it anyhow so we’re looking forward to having it built soon.
